Taste of Australia is a Vietnam-wide celebration of Australian food, beverages and culinary culture, as well as our innovative fashion and design, supported by the Australian Government, industry and business partners including official events and promotions throughout the country in May!
This year, Novotel Suites Hanoi joins the celebration with our special series of culinary events. The highlight event is a spectacular Sunday Brunch on 5th May, where guests can savour delights from the Australian cuisine with a tantalising spread of dishes made of beef, lamb and seafood. Start your dinner with Cured salmon with arugula and grilled asparagus salad, followed by the main course of your choice: Roasted Australian beef tenderloin with truffle oil pommes purée, served with sauteed baby vegetables or Plancha seared seabass with clam, quinoa and porcini mushroom. What is more sweet and perfect end for a dinner than a Lamington cake with crème anglaise and a hint of chili?
Australia enjoys a great reputation for producing a reliable supply of high-quality barley thanks to its cool and contaminant-free climate, pristine waters and fertile soils. Well known for its low moisture content and low foreign material, Australian barley is ideal to produce high-quality wine. In the series of event to rejoice the Taste of Australia, we sincerely introduce Lindeman’s Premier Selection range which makes the most of Lindeman’s winemaking experience and extensive vineyard holdings across Australia. Lindeman’s Premier Selection Shiraz Cabernet displays bright red berries and hints of subtle spicy white pepper. A medium-bodied ruby red wine with underlying vanillin oak and a smooth finish is best paired with slow-cooked meats and barbecues. Lindeman’s Premier Selection Semillon Chardonnay is a harmonious blend of Semillon and Chardonnay, featuring the aromas of peach, nectarine and stone fruits with fragrant floral highlights. Straw coloured Semillon Chardonnay has medium to full bodied palate with integrated oak and a soft finish.
